Why it exists

Vendor apps only host their own agent. Traditional editors drop an agent in as a plugin. People end up juggling extra windows and extra permission models.

VibeX starts here: one local workbench for agents. Install, auth, conversation, permission, and worktree share one pipeline. You pick the agent. The platform puts them in the same project.

The X stands for fusion. VibeCoding is the habit of writing code with an agent. VibeX wires that habit to files, Git, workflows, plugins, and remote doors. Data stays on the machine by default. There is no VibeX cloud account.

Where it is

VibeX is still in testing. You can already install it from GitHub Releases. Desktop packages exist for macOS, Windows, and Linux. The same Host can run as a headless service on a machine you control. Remote clients and the Android companion connect to that Host.

Built-in and addable agents share conversation, permission, and worktree. Sessions can sit side by side on a board. Workflows orchestrate several agents as a DAG.

The plugin control plane handles install, enable, and config. Official plugins cover Office documents, workflow authoring, session extras, multi-agent delegation, and plugin development. The site hosts a plugin marketplace. Host manages MCP and Skills. Chat channels can attach a conversation to Feishu, Weixin, QQ, and Telegram.

Source is Apache License 2.0. Docs split into guide, reference, developers, and service. Capabilities follow the current release and the repository.
